Renovation tailored to budget and needs for our fellow humans

We were approached by VZW Levedale to completely refresh the downstairs areas of this historic building.

Within a previously agreed budget in which we had to comply with the following elements;

-respect for their clients/patients

-proposing and installing sustainable ecological materials (new floor covering and paint)

-respecting the schedule so that the centre could organise its daily activities

-making the stairs safe (new covering and adequate stair nosings) without putting the stair lift out of action

-finishing everything on the floor with floor covering and finishes of a high sustainable quality

-that the major renovation works planned within 24 months can be done smoothly and at no extra costs

We embedded all surface-mounted electrical cables in the walls.
The walls as well as the ceilings were plastered out and painted in the desired colours.
Where possible, existing doors were sanded down and varnished, as were cupboards.
In addition, where possible the wooden frames on the existing windows were painted in the colour of the walls, creating a feeling of space, calming the residents and emphasising their creations.

In many places, the existing flooring was in need of renewal where we were able to offer a quality product with at least a 25-year guarantee ism Unilin.

Each space was realised in the previously proposed time frame ‘7 Days/space’ in consultation with the management.
